Wheatsheaf, Corston Fields BS39 4BH
Judith Chubb-WhittleA39 between Corston and Marksbury
The long run will be led by Judith Chubb-Whittle
After last week's Town run, it's back to the Country on Thursday, when we visit the newly-refurbished Wheatsheaf at Corston Field, Bath, BA2 9HB (not the Wheatsheaf in Combe Hay).
The long run is the noblest of runs inspired by Woden and travels through the lands of his believers. The sophisticated air of this 7.5 miles is led by Judith Chubb-Whittle who dedicates the run to our Chair, Graham Bazley due to the aristocratic tweedy note running through the ancient deer parks & pheasant shoots of the landed gentry. Opportunities for a good sheepdogging abound and you are requested to take up the challenge copiously. A small mystery prize will be given to the best sheepdog of the night. Anyone sporting tweed in any form will be rewarded. You should enjoy this cheeky number.
Short run, Suzy Low. Approx 8k through fields and following streams, passing a fishing lake and through the grounds of Bath spa university also includes some road.
