The Rowberrow Rabbit Race
Thursday, 10th July 2008.

The Rowberrow Rabbit run took place on 10 July 2008 from The Swan at Rowberrow. A field of hardy runners set off despite the wind and rain to brave the 8k course complete with 275m of climb, rocky descents and much mud under foot. The course was won by Vito Graffagnino of Clevedon AC in a time of 32.39 with Alan Baker also of Clevedon AC only just over a minute behind in second place. The winning lady was Claudine Mercer of Weston AC in a time of 42.09 closely followed by Emma Oughton of Great Western Runners (and second claim TACH!) in second place with a time of 42.23. Congratulations to all runners.

It takes a lot more effort to compete at the top level - for both the runner and their washing machine. Runner on right, Alan Baker of Clevedon AC, came second in race.
